Where and when TGI buys
- TGI front office, 806 S 56th Ave, Phoenix AZ 85043. TGI buys only here and never buys, picks up or pays anywhere else.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM AZ; Thursday until 10:00 AM AZ.
- By appointment only, in 30-minute slots of up to 4 collectors. Book your slot in your account.
- On your first visit, bring a government photo ID showing the same name you signed up with. You can come for the ID check with or without items; there is no minimum weight.
How your drop-off is weighed and graded
- TGI staff sort your items by category and weigh each category and each refused pile on a certified, licensed scale. You may watch.
- Net weight is gross weight minus tare. Tare is the measured empty weight of the gaylord or pallet actually used, weighed on the same scale and written on it. Your own bags count as 0 lb. TGI never uses flat tare estimates.
- Before grading, you type your name and sign this ownership pledge: "I own these items or received them as gifts from their owners. I did not buy any of them to sell to TGI. None is new store merchandise, none came from a donation bin or charity drop site, and none is stolen."
- If refused weight is more than 10% of the drop-off's gross weight, the receipt carries a warning. Three warnings within 90 days are a breach of the Collector Agreement, and TGI stops buying from you until TGI staff reinstate you. Pay already earned is still paid.
- TGI emails you a receipt for every drop-off with the gross, tare and net weight of each category, the refused pounds and the amount.
