My Recycle Team Program Rules
Version 1 (10/10/26)
These rules are part of the Collector Agreement. Breaking the post rules or the reject rule is a breach of the Collector Agreement.
Every post and message starts with this line
Every post, story, video, live stream, comment or message about My Recycle Team starts with this line, in the language of the post, before any "more" cut:
- English: "I get paid when people I sign up sell to My Recycle Team."
- Spanish: "Me pagan cuando las personas que inscribo le venden a My Recycle Team."
Videos say the line aloud and show it on screen at the start. Live streams keep it on screen the whole time. A platform "paid partnership" label does not replace it.
Words you never use
- Never say donate, donation, charity, charitable, nonprofit or tax-deductible.
- In Spanish, never say donar, donación, donativo, caridad, caritativo, benéfico, sin fines de lucro or deducible de impuestos.
- Never suggest any link with a charity, church, school or government agency.
When you ask anyone for their items
- Tell them you sell what they give you to TGI, a for-profit company.
- Tell them it is not tax-deductible.
How you collect
- Collect only items you own or that their owners give you.
- Never place collection bins, and never run a drive or any spot where people leave items.
- Never collect at or near a donation center or thrift store.
- Never buy clothing, shoes or linens to sell to TGI.
No income claims
Never make income, "extra cash", earnings-example or lifestyle claims. The only numbers you may quote are the published per-pound rates in the Pay Plan.
How you contact people
- Never email anyone about the program.
- Send texts or social messages about the program only one at a time, by hand, to people you know who have not asked you to stop.
- Never use bought lists.
TGI checks public posts
TGI checks public posts about the program every week. A post that breaks these rules must be fixed or taken down within 2 days of TGI's notice. A second breach ends the Collector Agreement.
At the front office
- Sign the ownership pledge at every drop-off: "I own these items or received them as gifts from their owners. I did not buy any of them to sell to TGI. None is new store merchandise, none came from a donation bin or charity drop site, and none is stolen."
- Reject rule: refused weight over 10% of a drop-off's gross weight puts a warning on the receipt. Three warnings within 90 days are a breach of the Collector Agreement, and TGI stops buying from you until TGI staff reinstate you. Pay already earned is still paid.
- Refused material goes back with you.
- TGI staff never grade drop-offs from their relatives or household members.
- TGI employees may not join or sponsor.
What TGI sends you
TGI contacts collectors only by email (sign-in links, receipts, payout notices, statements and rate-change notices) and on this site. TGI's emails carry no promotional or recruiting content. TGI does not text, use WhatsApp or run paid ads for the program.
